Why Don't You Steal Something |
|

- by Jennifer McQuarrie, 15, HRM
That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be who they really are. Most people love you for who you pretend to be. To keep their love, you keep pretending - performing.
You get to love your pretense.
It's true: we're locked in an image, an act – The sad thing is, people get so used to their image,
They grow attached to their masks.
They love their chains.
They forget all about who they really are.
And if you try to remind them, they hate you for it.
They feel like you're trying to steal their most precious possession.
So why don't you steal it?
Sure they might get mad at you for awhile,
But it's better that they realize they should be who they are and not someone else. People are afraid that they might get hurt if they act/be themselves and that's why they hide who they really are,
But it's better getting hurt and learning from it than hiding the real you and not being your individual self.
Don't let people control you,
Don’t let them walk all over you,
Just be… who you want to be. Be You!
