My So Called Friend Print E-mail

poetry cornerBy J, 14, HRM

I had a friend I trusted, until she lied to me.
She said she didn’t but I know she did.
She said bad stuff to my best friend
which indeed hurt her also.

So I said to her if she wanted to continue as my friend
she would have to say sorry to both of us.

But of course she didn’t.

So I asked my self, was she really the friend
I knew when I first met her?

But of course she wasn’t.

So I told her our friendship means nothing to me anymore,
so I quit on her.

But I realized something after our friendship ended.

I felt like nothing

I felt like I lost something

But I also felt proud.

So if you really care about someone don’t let them go like I did.

Sure sometimes I might feel like I did the right thing,

But sometimes when you pass them and they give you a look
You just want to feel like nothing happened
and go back to the way it always was.
