Ghetto Life by Genevieve Saucier

People growing up in the ghetto, don't have it so good, vandalism on the walls, broken down boarded up houses, schools with metal detectors, because people carry a 9", shootings, killings, what a tragedy, people dying for no reason over a word exchanged. People hanging on the porch braiding their hommez hair, drug dealers on every corner, making some money, but not in the best way, struggling to survive, broken windows, shattered glass, babies screaming, some boys on they mommas porch blazing it, Classy restaurants ain’t what you’ll find in the ghetto, you probably walk by 2 or 3 fast food chains, french fries and chicken, people in they houses starting HOOD parties, till 6 in the morning. Crime is a way of life in the ghetto, walk to the store, get shot, because people think it's funny, HOOD RATS all up and down the street, why kids dying so YOUNG? Because people ain’t caring, because people say a life is a life, we all going to die one day, some mothers throwing babies in the trash because they can't support it with their habits. People sleeping on benches, because they don't have no place to go, we need to realize that this ain't right.... |
