Faces in the World
by Genevieve Saucier

Poetry Corner

I stop, look around, what do I see? Expressions on their faces, too bright to see, shielded by smog, took by surprise, what do all these expressions mean? Some filled with HATRED, some conquered by LOVE, let these expressions float high above; to a world that's unknown to the human race, look around, what do we see?

New expressions on their faces, not categorized by a certain group, but emotions galore, positive thoughts, people coming to be, as we lay in the streets, forming a word R-A-C-I-S-M!!! A simple word, expression, or even a thought, a disgrace to the world, because people can't see, blinded by color, that people are all different, in a line joined hand and hand, people realize how bright the world is, when they come to be.......
