Friendship For Me Print E-mail
- by Alyssa, 15 BLT

writing cornerI know many people think that teens cannot experience big things and that only adults do. Many of us teens do go through some tough drama which can also affect our lives. Arguments with friends, I have been through plenty of them and many of them. I even lost friends from them. A lot of them were about people saying things that I didn't say, but I am done with them and I am growing and making changes where they are needed.

I know I am lucky to have what friends I have but still I want more sometimes. I only have a few good friends and they mean A LOT to me.

They are the ones who have my back,

The ones who care for me dearly,

The ones, who give me a shoulder to cry on when I am tired.

But most of all, they give me a reason to wake up in the morning and to be happy. They are the ones who will always cheer me up when I am down and will always make every day count. I will never let them down because I love them dearly. I know I am lucky for what I have and even though I don't have many friends, they are the ones I can trust with anything in this world. Who ever reads this and thinks about a selective few of their friends, you know they are the ones you can trust and the ones that have had your back from the beginning.

But I still do wish I had more friends but a year of fun is coming and I should be able to make new friends sooner or later. I don't know if I will ever be able to trust many people again, but hopefully I will. Things in the past have caused me to feel this way.

I am proud of who I am today and what has happened in the past, I do not regret. I feel they have made me the person I am today and will constantly remind me of how to act in certain situations.
